For those who don't want to spend time configuring and just want a balanced setup: The EXCEL Editions combine original EXCEL rims with SM WORKS × NGR Performance CNC hubs, stainless steel spokes, and aluminum spoke nipples into a fully assembled supermoto wheelset. The 17-inch wheelset is built to order based on your motorcycle model and year.

THE EDITION DESIGN

Rims and spokes are black; hubs and spoke nipples come in the color of your edition—which is already stated in the product name. Clean enough for an OEM+ build, striking enough not to go unnoticed. You only need to select the rim size and optional extras.

You can see which widths are available for your model directly during selection. Optionally, you can have the wheelset delivered with tires already mounted – you can choose the brand, heavy-duty tube or tubeless, and balancing in the configurator.

FITTING YOUR BIKE

Please provide the complete model and year of manufacture. If you have modified the fork, swingarm, axles, or braking system, please discuss the configuration with us beforehand: support@smworks.at. Product images show example configurations – the shape of individual components may vary depending on the model, but the color scheme of your edition remains the same.

SM WORKS TÜV FOLDER

Your wheelset comes with the available technical documentation for homologation or registration – in special cases, even for individual approval. This includes material and strength certificates, metallurgical test reports, and load capacity data. The testing authority decides whether or not it will be registered. It is best to discuss your conversion with them in advance. More on this under Registration & TÜV Folder.

INSTALLATION

Install the wheelset professionally and tighten all bolts and axle nuts to the torques specified by the vehicle manufacturer (OEM). After the first few kilometers, check spoke tension and run-out. Tips can be found under Care, Maintenance & Rim Service.

PRODUCTION & DELIVERY TIME

Your wheelset is built for you after your order is placed. The production time is up to 50 working days from receipt of payment and complete configuration. In case of unusually high order volumes, it may take longer – if this happens, we will contact you. Tire mounting may add up to a week, plus shipping time. EXPRESS PRODUCTION is not available for EXCEL wheelsets. All details under Production & Delivery Times.

CUSTOM PRODUCTION

Each wheelset is built individually for you according to your specifications regarding motorcycle, year, and sizes. As a custom product made to customer specifications, it is excluded from the right of withdrawal in accordance with § 18 Para. 1 Z 3 FAGG. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this. Legality on public roads depends on the vehicle, country, and registration.
