GASGAS SM-BASIC RIM SET

Single-color rim rings, plus hubs and spoke nipples in your choice of colors – that’s your SM-BASIC setup. The 17-inch wheelset is built to order, tailored to your motorcycle model and year of manufacture.

The rim set comes without tires. In the configurator, you can optionally add tires – including mounting, heavy-duty inner tubes or tubeless setup, and balancing. Brake discs, brake caliper adapters, and sprockets are also available to match.

Weight: approx. 9.5 to 11.5 kg for the complete set without tires, brake discs, and sprocket – depending on rim size and hub.

FITS YOUR BIKE

Please provide the full model name and year of manufacture. If you have modified the fork, swingarm, axles, or braking system, please discuss the specifications with us beforehand: support@smworks.at. Product images show example configurations – you will receive the version for your specific motorcycle.

SM WORKS TÜV FOLDER

Your wheelset comes with the technical documents required for type approval or registration – in special cases, even for individual certification. These include material and strength certifications, metallurgical test reports, load ratings, and model overviews.

The testing authority decides whether or not approval is granted. It is best to consult with them regarding your modifications beforehand. More information is available under Registration & TÜV Folder.

INSTALLATION

Install the wheelset professionally and tighten all bolts and axle nuts to the torques specified by the vehicle manufacturer (OEM). After the first few kilometers, check spoke tension and run-out. Tips can be found under Care, Maintenance & Rim Service.

PRODUCTION & DELIVERY TIME

Your wheelset is built for you after your order is placed. Production time is up to 50 working days from receipt of payment and full configuration. In the event of an unusually high workload, it may take longer – if so, we will notify you. Tire mounting may add up to a week, plus shipping time.

EXPRESS PRODUCTION: For an extra €199 per wheelset, yours receives priority in production and ships within 4 calendar weeks – tire mounting included. Full details at Production & Delivery Times.

CUSTOM-MADE PRODUCTS

Every wheelset is built individually for you based on your motorcycle model, year, sizes, and color choices. As a custom product made to customer specifications, it is excluded from the right of withdrawal in accordance with § 18 Para. 1 No. 3 FAGG. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected, of course. Road legality depends on the vehicle, country, and registration.
