YAMAHA SM-BASIC RIM SET

Single-color rim rings, plus hubs and spoke nipples in your desired colors – that’s your SM-BASIC setup. The 17-inch wheel set is built after your order to match your motorcycle model and year of manufacture.

The rim set comes without tires. In the configurator, you can optionally add tires – including mounting, heavy-duty inner tubes or tubeless, and balancing. Brake discs, brake caliper adapters, and sprocket are also available to match.

Weight: approx. 9.5 to 11.5 kg for the complete set without tires, brake discs, and sprocket – depending on rim size and hub.

MATCHING YOUR BIKE

Provide the model and year of manufacture completely. If you have modified the fork, swingarm, axles, or brake system, please discuss the design with us briefly beforehand: support@smworks.at. The product images show example configurations – the version for your motorcycle will be delivered.

SM WORKS TÜV FOLDER

You will receive the technical documents needed for type approval or registration with your wheel set – in special cases, even for an individual inspection. Included are material and strength certificates, metallurgical test reports, load ratings, and model overviews, among other things.

The testing authority decides whether it will be registered. It is best to discuss your conversion with them briefly beforehand. More information can be found under Registration & TÜV Folder.

ASSEMBLY

Mount the wheel set professionally and tighten all screws and axle nuts to the torques specified by the vehicle manufacturer (OEM). After the first few kilometers, check the spoke tension and run-out. Tips can be found under Care, Maintenance & Rim Service.

PRODUCTION & DELIVERY TIME

Your wheel set will be built for you after your order. The production time is up to 50 working days from receipt of payment and complete configuration. In case of unusually high demand, it may take longer – in that case, we will contact you. Tire mounting may add up to a week, and shipping time is also additional.

EXPRESS PRODUCTION: For an extra €199 per wheel set, yours will be given priority in production and will be sent out within 4 calendar weeks – tire mounting included. All details at Production & Delivery Times.

CUSTOM PRODUCTION

Each wheel set is built individually for you according to your specifications regarding motorcycle, year of manufacture, sizes, and colors. As a custom order made to customer specifications, it is excluded from the right of withdrawal in accordance with § 18 Para. 1 No. 3 FAGG. Your statutory warranty remains unaffected. Legal road use depends on the vehicle, country, and registration.
